To the Physical and Mental Limit Season 1 Episode 10

I notice that Margarita is super in love with Frank, but Frank not so much. This showed for example in the boat kiss. Margarita hopes they will be lovers, Frank wants to win and be friends with the mother of his child. All physical contact seems to be initiated by smitten Margarita. They are a lot nicer team now than they were at the beginning when Frank was screaming to Margarita all the time. No

The other black couple talking about breaking up when they were eliminated was ridiculous. Glad they were eliminated when they were if not earlier. They were so miserable the whole time.

Lawyers are cool and have the best attitude. I hope they win even if they are the gorgeous super sporty guys and thus have big advantage.

This first season they show drivers smoking cigarettes and contestants drinking alcohol. I don't think they show that kind of naughty things at least in the season 14. The race is more serious and more about finding transportation and directions than about the tasks in this season. The 14th season was sillier and more about the tasks.

The good thing about the supercompetitive evil Guidos is that they have good attitude about racing an winning. They also seem to be having fun and are nice to each other, even when they are nasty to other contestants. I love how they handle their rock climb and supported each other. I can't get my finger on what is wrong with their faces, especially of the dark haired one.

Is it just editing or are frat bros especially stupid this episode, screwing things. Do they just want to create tension so the race would look close. I don't think this is an elimination round. And it wasn't. Shit. I wanted to see Guidos to be eliminated. I want to get rid of them.

Season 1 Episode 9 The Unexpected twist

I was devastated that Nancy and Emily were eliminated because they gave up on the task. I hate that they gave up. So stupid and infuriating. The first season has poor teams. I'm glad that the time penalty will be changed from 24 hours to just 4. They Emily and Nancy would have stayed in the game. But have to say that I'm really annoyed at them just giving up like that. I'm happy that in later seasons the teams seem to have better attitude about the race and want to have fun and win.

Reading reviews of the exceptional HBO show Enlightened I learned that the show's creator, Mike White, had participated in the Amazing Race with his father Mel White. I was interested in Mike White so I watched season 14 of the Amazing Race and got hooked.

Now I started to watch from the very first season. Currently I'm watching episode 3 of the first season "Home for Some". I was disappointed to see the nice girls eliminated in the last show. I have developed deep antipathy towards the orange pants guido and his horrible red haired wife(?) and also of the screaming black man who is horrible to his ex-wife. The gay couple start to annoy me as well because they do too well and are somewhat arrogant and snobbish. I like their matching outfits though. The mother and daughter team is very sympathetic an my favorite, but I fear they will be eliminated shortly. I also feel for the quiet black guy who got so nervous and cried when struggling with the Eiffel tower task and his wife just kept berating him.

Unfortunately I haven't learned the names yet.

I wonder if the dislike of the gay guys is part that they are so apparently smarter and more sophisticated than me. Easier to like the everyday people. The later seasons like 14 didn't have any too intellectual or smart types at least what comes to geography.

Oh no! How did the backpacking girls (had to look that word up, tried bagbacking, backbagging ) got so far behind though they started first. Oh yeah they looked for the wrong pendulum. Direction and tasks are worse than in the 14th season. They are still learning. I'm sorry that winning individual leg of the race doesn't give any small gifts. I think they would be nice.

Rob and Brennan are cool. They are the lawyers best friends. I like teams that are nice to each other. For some reason married couples usually do poorly with this and are horrible to each other.

Margarita and Frank are the couple with the screaming horrible black guy. They are separated parents apparently. Margarita seems nice. Frank is horrible to her.

I was sorry to see the backpacking women to be eliminated this round. Wasn't very exciting episode.
